MAKE A DIFFERENCE

In Canada, our youth face a silent crisis. Statistics reveal that 1 in 5 young Canadians struggles with their mental health and suicide remains the second leading cause of death among our young people. This staggering number reflects a generation burdened with stress, anxiety, and depression, and the pandemic has only exacerbated this crisis. It is disheartening to realize that these are not just numbers; they are the lives of our future. At the Art and Creative Skills Collective, we refuse to accept this.

We are committed to empowering young minds by building an ecosystem where young Canadians can thrive and be the drivers of social change. Through our preventative Mental Health and 21st-century life skills enhancement programs, we equip youths to build resilience and navigate life’s challenges.

Over the past few years, we have reached hundreds of Canadians, but the demand continues to grow. That’s why we need your help. Every dollar you donate means providing a safe space for more young minds, nurturing their creativity, and strengthening their Mental Health.

Let’s turn these statistics around and ensure that our youth have a brighter and healthier tomorrow. Join us on this journey of unleashing the power of art and youth.

We would like to acknowledge the traditional territories of the peoples of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot First Nation tribes of Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Stoney Nakoda First Nations tribes of Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley and the Tsuut’ina First Nation. The city of Calgary is also homeland to the historic Northwest Métis and to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. We pay our respects to the Elders, past and present, and extend our gratitude for their wisdom and teachings.

As settlers, we are committed to reconciliation, understanding, and building positive relationships with the Indigenous communities. We are humbled by the privilege to call these lands home and will never take it for granted.

At Art and Creative Skills Collective, everyone is valued and respected. We stand with the 2SLGBTQI+ and trans community, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all. Our doors are open, and our hearts are welcoming to all.
